Recently, Shoesense quite neatly beat me to the punch regarding fringed footwear. I can’t help but shudder when I see many of the fringe-bedecked styles that are coming out. Be warned. It’s use is everywhere and seems to growing. As proof I offer Rachel Zoe’s picks of fringed moccasins a la Minnetonka at as a major trend for Fall 2008. Gulp. I should have seen it coming. Green textiles are a growing trend in hotels and other hospitality based industries. The hotel still has to function and not increase operation costs, and design features must not be compromised during the "green" process. The reclamation program follows what some retailers have done in the past (REI) and completes the supply chain cycle.

I had an idea for displaying box office data graphically and here are the results. Each page displays trends in the top 25 movies at the box office for each weekend in a year. The color is based on the movie's debut week. Because of that, long-running movies will gradually start to stand out from newer movies with different colors.
